The client required a scheme that would allow access for bridge replacement works whilst maintaining operational railway lines below. DESSA designed the structure in Plettac Futuro and used a bank of Asterix HD beams (laced and braced in DESSA bracing kit for a lightweight span and quicker build) to span between towers over the railway. A full calculation package was provided along with detailed appraisal of loads due to passing trains.
