Using DESSA’s Asterix HD Roof, the scaffold was designed to be freestanding with considerable ballast provided. The roof was erected from the safety of a stepped gable end scaffold. A heavy duty beam support assembly was supplied to ensure the loads at the support location were transferred through the bolted joint connection to the castors. The temporary roof was rolled out in two 40 metre long sections, with DESSA providing bracing and sheeting to cover a 300mm bay in between the two.
